US Cruise Missiles

v2.1.0 / TOC (3 chapters) / 01 apr 24 / greg goebel

* Through the Cold War, the US developed a series of "cruise missiles" -- essentially pilotless aircraft used as a flying bomb. Although they were built primarily with nuclear strike in mind, they were fortunately never used in that capacity. However, in the post-Cold War world, conventionally-armed cruise missiles have become a significant weapon in the "dirty little wars" that have become the norm in the new era. This document provides a history of American cruise missiles -- as well as aerial decoys, a similar technology. A list of illustration credits is provided at the end.
